FIVE things we learnt from Chelsea today

It wasn’t a classic but Carlo Ancelotti won’t mind one iota as Chelsea secured a comfortable 2-0 victory at Stamford Bridge.

The visitors arrived in West London with a 1-10-0-0 formation, which meant that Chelsea had to remain patient and wait for the breakthrough that duly arrived via Branislav Ivanovic early in the second half. To be honest Chelsea could have racked up a far bigger scoreline had it not been for the woodwork and an inspired goalkeeping display by Paul Robinson. A win is a win and it was one that was certainly welcomed by Ancelotti and the Chelsea faithful.
