Betfair are offering fans left infuriated by the actions of the money grabbing Argentine the chance to ditch their jerseys in a giant ‘Recycling Tevez’ skip, which will be in the Old Trafford area before the top of the table clash kicks off at 1.30pm. The binning is likely to attract fans of both clubs, with the fiery 27-year-old having burnt bridges with the red and blue halves of the city.
More than 75,000 football fans will pass the vehicle on match day, many of whom will be glad to see the back of the controversial star. All unwanted shirts will be sent south to his native Argentina and given to local charities.
Betfair’s Alex Bake said: “Time and time again Tevez has let the fans down. What better way for fed up supporters to show they want rid of him for good than by dumping their shirts. These two sets of supporters don’t often see eye to eye, but I’m sure they’ll all be pleased if he leaves Manchester in the January transfer window.”
News of the ‘Recycling Tevez’ scheme has already reached Twitter with both sides of Manchester getting in on the conversation:
Gore93Mcfc: “If there really is a Tevez skip outside City tonight, I’ll be dropping my Tevez shirt off. #mcfc”
1Philadelphia: “The only thing bringing both Manchester United & Man City fans together is the ‘’Trash Your Tevez Shirt’ Skip! Hahahaha! That’s too much…”
The skip will be in the Old Trafford area from 10am on Sunday.
