Wilfried Zaha has been a man in demand in recent years as he continues to look likely to outgrow Crystal Palace but, as Chinese outfit Dalian Yifang offer the Ivorian £44m for his services, he could finally be on his way despite the club's desperate efforts to keep him in South London.

The 26-year-old has become talismanic for the Eagles - until a recent 1-0 win over Leicester, they had lost their last twelve games without him - and his pace, combined with his unique dribbling style and ability to take on a man make him a weapon of a winger.

The lucrative offer from the East would see the former Manchester United man rake in three-times as much as he does at Palace but, if his aim is to develop and become even better, this would be a hugely detrimental move for his career - however, it could be just what Palace need to plug some big problem areas.

With the number 11 valued at £70m plus, the Selhurst Park outfit would surely receive a huge sum if they were to let their prized asset leave and this money could be redistributed in order to solve some major problems within the side - would Palace be better off by improving the overall strength of the team rather than relying on one special player?

For instance, Palace need a number 10 - Max Meyer is a quality creator but not a natural 10 - and a striker. Say if Hodgson and co. spend £20m on each, they immediately look much stronger before they even find a replacement winger.

What do you think, Palace fans? Should the club accept an astronomical offer for Zaha if it means they would spend the cash on balancing the team better? Let us know in the poll below...
