After crashing out of the Champions League last night, social media has been in raptures with the revelation of another stat that leaves Louis van Gaal’s transfer policy looking questionable, to say the least.
Despite the loss of Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie from last season’s forward line, Javier Hernandez is the man that LvG must really be ruing letting go.

The Little Pea has been in stunning form since joining Bayer Leverkusen and has, remarkably, out scored his former club since October. One can only imagine how smug the Mexican is feeling about this little record of his, but you can hardly blame United fans for being so frustrated at his sale!
Talking of stats, United’s record without their captain, and supposed talisman, is also not great news for the club.
0 – Man Utd have not lost any of the seven PL games they've played without Wayne Rooney in the Louis van Gaal era (W4 D3). Absent.

With a manager boring fans to tears and a captain who looks like he belongs in a pub league, Hernandez will be laughing all season.
