Leeds United fans on Twitter are far from happy with Marcelo Bielsa after Liam Cooper seemingly picked up an injury while playing for the club’s U23 side.
Liam Cooper’s limping heavily. Trying to carry on. #lufc

The club captain has only just returned from an injury issue, but it appears as though he’s sustained another problem while playing for the youth side.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that such a thing has happened to Leeds in recent weeks as Pablo Hernandez picked up an injury in similar circumstances not too long ago.
Fans were critical of Bielsa’s policy of allowing players who are recovering from injury to regain some match sharpness while playing for the U23s, and you can understand why.
If Cooper is injured for a number of weeks due to this incident Leeds will be without one of their most important players due to a rather meaningless U23s fixture.
Here’s what the Elland Road faithful have been saying on Twitter…
Rushing players back again….🤔 sounds all too familiar

Stop playing these players in the U23’s. Cooper has probably now put his recovery back.

It’s the Bielsa way that’s injured players. Need a much bigger squad.

Cooper gets injured in an U23s game he shouldn’t even be playing in.
Pablo did the same 2 weeks ago.
For a genius, Bielsa is a bit dim.

Judging by the original timescale of injury, does seem he’s been rushed back. I guess his risk rate of reoccurrence was judged worth taking has back fired?
