Manchester United are still harbouring slight ambitions of a top four finish to couple with their FA Cup final appearance in a few weeks, whilst Norwich will see this as an absolutely must-win game if they are to avoid the drop.
The Canaries have lost their last three league matches without scoring a goal and – with 17th Newcastle playing Aston Villa later today – it could be all but over for them by this evening if they fall to defeat here. Only Villa have scored less goals in the league this season than the East Anglia side, a pretty damning statistic that goes a long way to explain their 19th place at the moment.
Louis van Gaal’s side have impressed during the second half of this season, but, like Norwich, have failed to score goals with the sort of freedom that is needed to compete with the best sides in the league.
The line-ups could be pivotal for the fate of these clubs thisseason…
