According to results from our recent poll, the large majority of West Ham fans would not approve of a move for Everton’s James McCarthy despite their shortage of squad players in midfield.

However, they are apparently not done there – as reported by The Daily Mail, the Irons are exploring the possibility of a move for injury-prone enforcer McCarthy.
Our take on the reports was that he would be a poor signing, indicating that Mario Husillos has not learnt from the mistake made by signing the aforementioned and currently sidelined Wilshere.
