Wayne Rooney has made no secret about his ambition to search for pastures new in the summer, handing in his second official transfer request at Old Trafford in the space of three years. Although it remains uncertain whether the incoming Manchester United boss will seek to change the England international’s mind, it does present David Moyes the opportunity to work with a clean slate ahead of his first season as Red Devils gaffer.
