In wake of news that Wayne Rooney’s younger brother John is on his back to England from Orlando City, we have complied a list of some of the less famous brothers to have attempting to make their way in football

The quality or lack of, in the MLS has been the subject of much debate for a long time on these shores, but Wayne’s bros has been languishing in the American third division, prior to agreeing a deal to sign for Barnsley.

While some players have gone on to have decent careers in the shadow of much more famous counterparts, others have simply languished in obscurity with inferior genetics or mentality.

This blog looks closer at those younger less famous footballers who haven’t lifted the Champions League, made the grade at international level or commanded obscene transfer fees. Players here are more concerned with semi-professional football and lower league competition, than the global stage their brothers reached.
