The Championship will be a richer place with Leeds onboard

Champ Corner’s Steven Woodgate hopes that Leeds joins Leicester and Peterborough in the Championship
next season.

I would like to congratulate Leicester City and Peterborough, who will both
be playing Championship football next term.  Who will be joining them next
season? I have no idea.

But out of the teams in the current League One playoff picture, any of them
would be welcomed additions to a very competitive Championship. It’s good to
see a big club like Leicester back up there.

It looks to be MK Dons, Millwall, Leeds United, and Scunthorpe fighting it
out in the playoffs even though Tranmere have the smallest of chance surpassing
Scunthorpe.

I fancy Leeds to be promoted and get back their rightful place in Football’s
second tier. Their fan base is superior to any of their current rivalries; it
even makes a mockery of some dwelling Premier League fan bases.

I feel their squad is far superior to the over contenders and I would love
to see a huge club like Leeds back challenging bigger clubs.

Leicester City’s resurgence is pleasing to see as relegation may have done
them well to give a good crack next season and playoffs would be a real
possibility. Nigel Pearson is a fantastic manager and he will only do good
things at the Walkers Stadium.

Darren Ferguson name is thrown around a lot, and you can see why. It will be
a struggle for Peterborough next year but under Ferguson’s keen managerial eye,
they will do their best to stay up.

But I want Leeds to be up there among the bigger boys, and with them, you
know it will never be boring.

Who do you think will do well in the
Championship?
