West Ham United announced on their official website on Monday that manager Slaven Bilic had been sacked, and Irons fans are keen for former Hammers boss Alan Pardew to replace him.

The Croatian was relieved of his duties following the 4-1 defeat against Liverpool at the London Stadium on Saturday evening, with other results meaning that the east London outfit ended the weekend in the Premier League's relegation zone.

David Moyes is the early favourite to take the vacant role with the Scot's appointment looking more and more likely to be the final outcome.

However, Pardew has been without a job since he was sacked by Crystal Palace last December and it would seem that he would be a popular choice to succeed Bilic.

West Ham fans were quick to have their say on the 56-year-old via social media, and while one simply said "bring Pardew back", another said he "would love" to see him return.

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction...
