The 2009/10 season was undoubtedly one of Chelsea’s finest in their long and illustrious history. It will be remembered not only as a double winning season, but also one where Chelsea scored goals for fun during the campaign, with players right throughout the team chipping in. There are plenty of contenders for the Goal of the Season Award, including Joe Cole’s magnificent backheel at Old Trafford that effectively ended Manchester United’s title bid, and Frank Lampard’s volley-lob against Stoke at Stamford Bridge. Both of these goals are also in contention for the highly sought after Guinness Moment award, given to the most outstanding moment of the season and thus both Joe and Frank could have a second double of the season!
