Kolasinac’s 2016/17 stats suggest he’d be great late Chelsea transfer

Chelsea’s January transfer window could end with a little flurry of activity.

The table-topping Blues have been, as expected, quiet in terms of deals this month, with the good balance the Londoners have found under Antonio Conte making additions far from necessary.

However, with the deadline approaching, Branislav Ivanovic may well be on his way out, while Schalke’s Saed Kolasinac is a late target.

The Bosnia & Herzegovina international’s contract is due to expire at the end of the current campaign, so there is every chance the Gelsenkirchen outfit will sell for a decent fee, and the Eastern European looks, on paper, a wise potential buy…

The 23-year-old has been solid at left-back for Schalke in his 13 Bundesliga outings this term, making 45 interceptions and winning 23 tackles. He’s also contributed in an attacking sense, showing that he could alternate with Marcos Alonso at wing-back, creating 14 chances, three of which have been converted to assists, while netting two goals.
