One of Jurgen Klopp's priorities during the summer transfer window will surely be to sign a new left-back, with Alberto Moreno proving so unreliable midfielder James Milner has filled in at No.3 for the vast majority of the season.

Leicester City's Ben Chilwell represents a potential candidate. Liverpool saw a £7million bid for the defender rejected by the Foxes last summer and The Express reported in February that the Anfield club are plotting another offer for the end of the season.

The 20-year-old's first team exposure at the King Power Stadium has been relatively limited thus far, making only four starts in the top flight before Leicester's trip to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City on Saturday.

The Foxes came away empty-handed in a 2-1 defeat but Chilwell's performance really stood out, especially considering it came against the top-scoring side in the Premier League this term before the latest batch of fixtures.

Indeed, Chilwell lined up against Raheem Sterling and had a fine game, weighing in with four tackles, six interceptions, two successful aerial duels and two clearances.

But perhaps more importantly considering the offensive demands placed on full-backs these days, he used the ball well too, flinging two crosses into the box and finishing up with the most touches of any Leicester player.

Chilwell still represents a gamble for Liverpool simply because of his limited experience, but the early signs suggest he's a top talent in the making. Should Liverpool swoop for the youngster this summer? Let us know by voting below...
