Wijnaldum has given Klopp plenty to think about ahead of Arsenal trip

Liverpool absolutely blitzed Hoffenheim in Champions League qualifying last night, going three goals up in under 25 minutes before eventually settling for a 4-2 victory at Anfield in a superbly entertaining attacking display.

And although he probably won’t grab the headlines over brace-bagger Emre Can or the members of Liverpool’s relentlessly placed front three, midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum played a big hand in the Reds looking so convincing offensively.

Indeed, the 40-cap international almost got on the scoresheet himself, hitting the post in the buildup to Mohamed Salah’s goal, completed the joint-most dribbles and won the most fouls of any Liverpool player while ranking second throughout Jurgen Klopp’s side for shots, chances created and touches of the ball.

Now preparing for Arsenal’s visit to Anfield this Sunday, the 5 foot 7 midfielder has given Klopp a huge decision to make in the engine room. With Adam Lallana out injured, the Liverpool gaffer has four central midfield options to choose from – James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Can and Wijnaldum.
