Charlton’s Ricky Holmes wins PFA League One Player of the Month for August/September

Charlton Athletic’s Ricky Holmes has been named the first League One PFA Fans’ Player of the Month of the 2017/18 Season.

In a vote run by fan engagement experts, Snack Media, the flying winger won 31.2% of the vote, ahead of Rotherham’s Kieffer Moore who came second with 21.1%. Blackburn’s Charlie Mulgrew followed closely in third place with 18.6% of the votes cast.

The voting was carried out via Snack’s digital and social network and covered both August and September. During this time, Holmes scored four goals as well as providing four assists.

The other contenders from the final short list polled as follows:

Dan Burn (Wigan Athletic) – 14.0%
Matthew Gilks (Scunthorpe United)– 8.2%
Jack Marriott (Peterborough United) – 6.9%
