Wilfried Zaha wins PFA Fans’ Premier League Player of the Month award for April

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has won the Premier League’s PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award for April after a fine run of form helped push the south London side clear of relegation – something that was mathematically confirmed on Saturday in a 2-1 win over Stoke City.

In a poll run by fan engagement experts Snack Media, the Ivory Coast international took home 29% of the vote, beating the likes of Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen, Manchester United’s Paul Pogba and Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette.

In the first of four divisional votes carried out over seven days via Snack’s digital and social networks,  Zaha’s match-winning performances over the last month has been recognised by football fans across the country. In four April appearances, Zaha bagged four goals and one assist while completing an incredible 20 dribbles.

The full list of contenders from the final shortlist polled as follows:

– Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) – 29%
– Christian Eriksen (Tottenham) – 19%
– Paul Pogba (Man United) – 19%
– Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal) – 12%
– Raheem Sterling (Manchester City) – 12%
– Jordan Pickford (Everton) – 9%

The Championship vote opens at 11am on Monday 7th May.
