Five images that sum up Everton 2-1 Arsenal
What a truly breath-taking game of Premier League football we were fortunate enough to enjoy on Tuesday night, between Everton and Arsenal at Goodison Park.
With both sides having plenty to lose ahead of this one you could have been forgiven for thinking that it would be a cagey affair, but as the first half wore on it soon became abundantly clear we were in for a top match.
Arsenal grabbed the lead through an Alexis Sanchez free-kick that took the most wicked of deflections off of Ashley Williams but from thereon, it was Everton largely in the ascendancy.
Ronald Koeman had wanted to see more fight from his players and he certainly got that as the Goodison Park faithful urged them forward to eventually equalise via Seamus Coleman before half-time.
That attacking vigour would continue into the second half until, right in the last few minutes, it was that man Williams at the right end who buried a header to seal the game.
2-1 it finished then to the Toffees. Here are five stunning images to help sum it all up…
