Liverpool & Man United target to swap Barca for England

Dani Alves has revealed that he will be leaving Barcelona to join a club in England, with Liverpool and Manchester United rumoured to be interested.

The Brazilian right-back has long been considered to be one of the very best players in his position, with his fine performances for the Catalans having been key to their domination of domestic and European football in recent years.

But at 32, he days at Barca appear to be numbered.

And the South American ace says that this will be his last season at the Camp Nou, with his focus on moving to England:

“Next year I’m moving to England. I’m going to play at the home of football.” He is quoted by the Daily Mail.

“This will be my last season at the club.”

Liverpool and United are both thought to be watching the defender, with the duo keen to draft in new right-backs.

The Reds could turn to Alves as a replacement for soon to be out of contract star Glen Johnson, while Louis van Gaal is thought to be unconvinced by Rafael.
