Lyon look set to tie Arsenal and Liverpool target Alexandre Lacazette down to a new long-term contract, according to talkSPORT.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League all summer, with both clubs regularly reported to be lining up a bid for his services.
But the player’s representatives and his club appear to have struck a deal to ensure he remains in France for the foreseeable future.
The France international stole the headlines in Ligue 1 last term by netting 29 goals in 35 first team outings for Lyon.
Such a goaL return led to a number of elite clubs across Europe showing an interest in his signature, with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain also thought to be keeping tabs on him.
Liverpool’s capture of Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke perhaps would’ve ended their interested in Lacazette, but Arsenal are still in the market for a striker and will see this as a huge blow to their transfer plans.
