Barcelona star Pedro Rodriguez has hinted that he could leave the La Liga club this summer, alerting the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool who are interested in his services, according to reports from the Metro.
Pedro is currently considering his immediate future with his Barca contract expiring in the summer of 2016, and he isn’t certain he wants to continue playing at the Nou Camp.
The 27-year-old pointed to the fact the he has to compete for places against some of the world’s best players, but did admit he enjoys playing for the Catalan giants.
“Every year it’s complicated to play here because I’m competing against the best players on the planet,” he told Spanish publication AS.
“It’s difficult to be 100 per cent happy, but I feel comfortable here. Those of us who have fewer minutes want to play.
“I don’t know if they’ll ask me to leave. I’m happy here and I want to continue but I don’t know what might happen tomorrow. We’ll talk at the end of the season.”
Pedro has had 11 extremely successful years with Barcelona, winning four league titles and two Champions League trophies.
But under new coach Luis Enrique, the Spain international has only featured in 20 league games this season, with 10 coming from the substitute’s bench.
His doubt over a future at Barcelona will be of massive interest for Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool, who have both been heavily linked to Pedro in recent transfer windows.
