Paris Saint-Germian midfielder Adrien Rabiot has admitted that he may look to leave the Ligue 1 champions this January if his first-team role comes under further threat.
A successful loan stint with Toulouse earlier this year has allowed the teenager to break into PSG’s first-team under new manager Laurent Blanc.
But, the Parisians have a wealth of superstars in their squad which has seen the youngster struggle to hold down a regular spot on the pitch.
With January approaching, the French giants are believed to be looking at signing more big name players, which could further dilute Rabiot’s role, and the starlet says that if competition increases further he will look to follow the example of now Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho.
“If it is to be set aside on the day where others players are recruited in my position, it is not worth it,” he is quoted by The Express.
“I do not want to live the way Mamadou Sakho did.
“After a while, when he realised he would not play much, he took the decision to leave and he did well.
“If a new midfielder is recruited in the winter transfer window, it will change the game for me.
“I would then think about my future.”
Spurs and Arsenal are two of a number of sides likely to move for Rabiot.
