For thirty minutes or so, Arsene Wenger’s side looked to be suffering from the poor performance and result against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
In fact, moments before Mesut Ozil gave Arsenal the lead, Wojciech Szczesny pulled off a wonderful stop from Ciaran Clark at point-blank range.
Perhaps the Polish ‘keeper’s stop fired his team-mates into life, as Arsenal ran riot with three goals in the same number minutes to totally blow away Paul Lambert’s side.
You could sense the relief of Ozil as he tucked the ball home but Arsenal fans barely had time to enjoy it before Danny Welbeck was running off to celebrate opening his Arsenal account. Then, moments later, Aly Cissokho’s own goal sent Arsenal fans up to cloud nine.
Needless to say that Twitter enjoyed the entertainment:
Apparently those three goals took just 192 seconds. Wow. Bom Jogo. #AFC
