Arsenal eyeing sensational move for former Liverpool striker

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is eyeing a shock move for former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, according to the Daily Star.

Wenger infamously failed to sign Suarez with a £40million plus £1 bid for the striker back in 2013, and then tried against last summer before losing out to Barcelona.

Suarez joined the Catalan side in the summer, despite being handed a four-month ban for biting Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini during the World Cup in Brazil.

But the Uruguayan hitman has struggled to find his feet since returning from his suspension, netting just twice in La Liga.

And the Daily Star claim Suarez’s Barcelona future has become uncertain after the departure of sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta, who was responsible from bringing him to the club.

It is not yet clear how much Arsenal would be prepared to pay for the former Liverpool striker, as well as how much Barcelona would be willing to sell him for, considering they paid £75million for him only five months ago.

Suarez netted 31 goals in 33 Premier League outings last season.
