Arsene Wenger’s trademark 60-minute(ish) mark subsitution has happened with Aaron Ramsey coming on for the defensive-minded Francis Coquelin in Le Professeur’s first throw of the dice against Monaco.
The Welshman returned to the Arsenal starting line-up against West Ham on Saturday – a game in which he found the back of the net – and Gooners will be hoping the former Cardiff City man can have the same impact tonight against the Ligue 1 opposition.
Ramsey’s introduction signals the beginning of the ‘kitchen sink throwing’ from the north London outfit with the Gunners very susceptible to a counter-attack from Monaco as they go gung-ho in search of the all important two goals.
Can Ramsey make the difference? Arsenal fans certainly think so! And with 20-minutes to go, the midfielder has plenty of time to make an impact – ignoring the chance he had a few minutes ago when he took one touch too many with the shot begging to be taken!
