Continental football returns to our screens this week but Arsenal find themselves in unfamiliar water, as Arsene Wenger's side are not in Europe's elite competition this season and instead play in the Europa League.

The Gunners commence their campaign tomorrow evening against Bundesliga outfit FC Koln, playing in Europe for the first-time in 25 years, and Arsenal are tipped amongst the early favourites to win the competition outright.

Following Manchester United's success in the Europa League last season, Arsenal are eyeing glory of their own but they may need to do it without some key players as Wenger has made it clear rotation is likely this week.

It cannot be seen as a direct indication of Arsenal's intent in the competition though as the Gunners face a crucial Premier League clash against Chelsea this Sunday, where Wenger's men will look to pick up their first points on the road this season.

Goal's Arsenal correspondent Chris Wheatley revealed some interesting team news ahead of tomorrow's game, stating that Petr Cech, Laurent Koscielny, Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette and Danny Welbeck would all be rested tomorrow- earning a variety of responses from fans.
