The return of forward Theo Walcott, after 302 days out, seems to have renergeised Arsenal, from fans to players.
Walcott, who injured his knee ligaments against Tottenham in the FA Cup back in January, made a ten-minute cameo against Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday and was unlucky not to leave the Emirates with a goal and/or assist.
Given that the former Southampton ace looked fresh and exciting against Sean Dyche’s side, many were expecting – well, hoping – to see the England international restored to the starting line-up for the Champions League clash against Anderlecht – a win would see Arsenal qualify for the next round.
Arsene Wenger decided against rushing Theo back, however, and Walcott had to settle for a spot on the subs bench – no doubt he will get a runout at some point tonight, though.
Le Professeur’s decision wouldn’t have gone down too well with Twitter…
C’mon Wenger why leave Theo on the bench????

Does anyone else feel Wenger should rotate his squad today? Give Podolski, Rosicky and Theo a start. Bench Alexis, Santi and Danny.
