Thought the days of petty Premier League rivalry were over? Thought that, when Arsenal and Tottenham were both challenging for the title that the rivalry would be kept to football?
It’s not a huge ask for Arsenal to respect the fact that Tottenham are quite a good team this season whilst still hating their breathing lungs. And vice versa.
Surely a team bringing through a load of young players whilst pushing for a title challenge deserve the respect of their rivals, if only for their on-pitch talent.
But not according to Thierry Henry, who gave Sky Sports his pick for a combined top XI from the top four teams so far this year. It features only one Tottenham player yet four Arsenal players as well as five from Leicester.
Thierry Henry's picked his top four combined XI…thoughts?

It’s getting a fair amount of Twitter hate as Henry’s obvious nod to rivalry shines through, putting Leicester’s revelatory players into his lineup alongside some reasonably out of form Arsenal stars – Laurent Koscielny and Hector Bellerin, who are both clearly wonderful defenders, though just at the moment it’s hard to argue that they’re in the team solely on their performances over the last few weeks.
Clearly rivalry doesn’t just stop at the water’s edge. But for all the anger of Spurs fans, being underestimated by Arsenal this season may play into their hands in the final few weeks of the season.
