Bayern Munich are closing in on a January deal for Sami Khedira, with reports from Mundo Deportivo suggesting that the player will reject the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea to sign for the Germans.
The World Cup winning midfielder looks set to leave Real Madrid in 2015, with his contract due to expire at the end of the season.
Although he could hold off and leave on a Bosman deal, the 27-year-old is understood to be on the verge of sealing an £6.4m transfer to switch back to his homeland in the New Year.
Bayern boss Pep Guardiola is keen to add Khedira to his ranks as he looks to cement the Bavarians’ spot as the Bundesliga’s top force and make a serious challenge for Champions League honours.
Arsenal, United and Chelsea, as well as Liverpool and Manchester City, have been tracking the experienced ex-Stuttgart man, but if reports are to believed they all have no chance of securing his signature.
Khedira spent much of last season out injured, but started the Champions League Final and helped his nation to win the World Cup in Brazil over the summer.
