Arsenal midfield target reveals he could leave Newcastle for Ligue 1

Newcastle United’s Moussa Sissoko, who is also a transfer target for Arsenal, has revealed that if Paris Saint-Germain makes an offer, he may have to rethink his plans, the Mirror reports.

The 25-year-old midfielder has been a stand-out performer for the Magpies during the current campaign, but despite being linked with both the Gunners and PSG, no formal offers have been made.

He is currently valued at around £15million and if an offer of around this region is made, Newcastle may have to consider his departure.

The French international also admitted that he wanted to join a club that can offer him Champions League football, a target that his current side is still some way off achieving, adding that a move to the Ligue 1 giants could be the answer.

“Today, PSG are one of the best clubs in Europe. If they are interested in me, then I would have to think with my agent,” Sissoko told the Mirror.

“I want to play it [sic]. I want to be involved in big games. If I have to leave Newcastle, then that is something that I would take into consideration.

“I am 25 years old, and I will be 26 this year. My wish is to play the Champions League, and I have not yet had the chance to play there again.”

Sissoko has made 20 starts from a possible 22 this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist, but is still unable to help his side progress up the Premier League table as they currently sit in 11th place, 13 points adrift from fourth spot.
