The Frenchman is out of contract at the Emirates next month and has revealed he will definitely be bringing an end to his seven year stay in north London.
And Sagna’s agent insists a move to the Premier League champions will definitely go through before the start of next season.
Laurent Gutsmith told the Daily Star: “It’s true that we were contacted, but for information only.
“We never spoke about figures. He should be signing for Manchester City.”
Despite a deal not expected to be completed and officially announced until after this summer’s World Cup, it’s is believed Sagna will put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal worth £140,000-a-week at the Etihad Stadium.
The 31-year-old had rejected Arsenal’s offer of a two-year extension worth £75,000-a-week.
