After over three months on the sidelines, Mesut Ozil returned to the field of play for Arsenal’s clash with Stoke City on Sunday for 17 minutes – was it just me or did the German international look like he had been bulking during his time in the treatment room?
Arsenal’s record signing – who cost £42.4million from Real Madrid – has had a difficult start to life at the Emirates, with pundits and fans of rival clubs struggling to believe Ozil has justified his transfer fee – in his three seasons with Madrid, Ozil bagged 47 assists in La Liga, however, that figure reads at just 10 so far for Arsenal.
It wasn’t just Ozil’s bigger biceps and blonde highlights that had changed, though, with the former Real Madrid maestro donning a new haircut that was, of course, trolled hard on social media with some clever-clogs suggesting that the trendy look the midfielder had opted for was actually a code that represented his career since moving to north London…
