Arsenal target holds the key to Chelsea and Atletico Madrid’s transfer deal

Alessio Cerci, a reported Arsenal target, will have to agree a loan move to AC Milan if Atletico Madrid are to finalise an emotional homecoming for Chelsea’s Fernando Torres, that is according to Eurosport.

Torres is currently on loan with Serie A side AC Milan, however, reports surfaced earlier last week that the Italian giants were looking to send the Spanish striker back to Chelsea in January after failing to be impressed by the former Liverpool star.

Diego Simeone is reportedly keen on bringing Torres back to the Vicente Calderon, the place where the striker made a name for himself in the world of football, however, it all hinges on whether AC can convince current Atleti forward Alessio Cerci to replace the hole made by Torres’ return to west London.

Cerci only joined the La Liga champions in the summer from Torino, however, the 27-year-old is yet to make a start in the top flight of Spain or the Champions League.
