£30m Arsenal target open to January move

Mauro Icardi is ready to leave Inter Milan next month amid interest from Arsenal, according to reports from talkSPORT.

The Argentine forward has emerged as a £30m target for the Gunners of late during a mini injury crisis at the club that has robbed manager Arsene Wenger of Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott, thus leaving him short of options up front.

And reports claim that the Gunners may well be able to get their man in January, with Icardi seriously considering a move after growing frustrated at the San Siro.

It’s understood that the 22-year-old is annoyed that he was hauled off after just 46 minutes during Monday’s loss to Napoli, which singled him out as a key cog in an underwhelming team showing.

Arsenal may well have the cash to fund a deal after a quiet summer, in which Petr Cech was the only notable addition at the Emirates Stadium.
