The Spain international looks set to leave the Old Lady this summer, with Real Madrid widely tipped to activate a buyback clause before selling him on for a significantly larger fee – potentially as much as £38million.
Arsenal and Chelsea have both been linked with the 23-year-old centre-forward by the English press and Spanish publication AS mention their interest once again, whilst mooting Manchester United as rival suitors.
And during an interview with AS, Morata has admitted that he would like to stay and prove himself at Real Madrid, where he rose through the academy ranks before being sold to Juventus in summer 2014, he’s also received a number of offers from English clubs.
He said; “There are some offers from England that are tempting , not only by the contract. I think my characteristics suit the Premier League – it would be a great destination.
“The Premier League would not be a step backwards. With what I have learned in Italy, if I have the chance to learn something more in England I think it would make me a more complete, better player.
“I am 23 years old and what I want is to progress, play, learn from the best and continue my development.”
Despite drawing attention from some of Europe’s top clubs, it has been an underwhelming season for the 6 foot 2 front man, netting just twelve times across all competitions.
