What a game. Last night's clash between Bournemouth and Arsenal really had it all, as the two sides fought to a tremendous 3-3 draw that will go down as a Premier League classic.
With the Cherries having lead 3-0 in the second-half, the game seemed beyond the reach of Arsene Wenger's side but the North London outfit battled back into the game, finally finding the equaliser deep into added time.
Arsenal will certainly see the result as two-points dropped, handing the chance for Chelsea or Tottenham to take advantage tomorrow, but the resilient performance from the Gunners deserves credit- as does Bournemouth's efforts in a game where they weren't fancied at all.
They say pictures speak a thousand words so summing the game up in images is certainly the right route to go down, especially as the game left us speechless at times with drama that shows just why the Premier League is the best in the world.
A shock lead
Just twenty minutes into the game, Charlie Daniels took advantage of poor Arsenal defending as he surged forward with plenty of space before striking past Petr Cech for the opening goal of the game- sending the Vitality Stadium into frenzy.
Things get worse for Arsenal
Just twenty minutes in, a clumsy tackle from Granit Xhaka handed Bournemouth the chance to double their advantage and Callum Wilson made no mistake with his finish. Stepping up and putting it straight down the middle, Bournemouth were in dreamland.
Potential goal of the month
After falling three goals behind, Arsenal gave themselves hope following Alexis Sanchez' diving header but the stand-out goal of the night came from summer signing Lucas Perez. Latching onto the end of Olivier Giroud's touch, Perez fired an unstoppable left-foot volley to net his first goal in the Premier League and put Arsenal back in the game.
The turning point
With Arsenal banging on the door for an equaliser, the turning point in the match came when Simon Francis was shown a straight red card for a poor challenge on Aaron Ramsey. Bournemouth were left with ten-men and their backs against the wall, with everybody expecting there to one last twist.
The equaliser
That twist came from Olivier Giroud, who netted his third goal in as many starts in the Premier League this season (all of them coming in a row) to save Arsenal's blushes and give them a point. It capped-off Giroud's performance, who secured an assist for the Gunners' two other goals in the game.
