AC Milan are preparing an offer for Arsenal ace Aaron Ramsey and hope Ivan Gazidis can play a key role in negotiations, The Mirror reports.

What's the worse?

While stability on the field has been secured by Unai Emery after nine consecutive victories across all competitions for Arsenal, there is still problems to be solved behind the scenes and the future of Aaron Ramsey continues to attract plenty of speculation.

Arsenal have withdrawn their contract offer to the Wales international and the 27-year-old is set to be available on a free transfer at the end of the campaign, which has sparked interest from a host of clubs across the Premier League and Europe.

According to The MirrorSerie A giants AC Milan are preparing their own offer for the midfielder and are hopeful that Ivan Gazidis can play a key role in negotiations when he moves from North London to the San Siro later this year.

Will a move abroad happen?

AC Milan, Juventus and even Real Madrid are some of the names being thrown around with a reported interest in Aaron Ramsey but there is no guarantee the Wales international will seek a move away from the Premier League.

A key reason for this is his young family, with his wife recently giving birth to twins, and he may not be keen on moving to Europe. Jack Wilshere was in a similar situation last summer and eventually elected to join West Ham, which was not at all surprising.

Arsenal would certainly prefer for Ramsey to complete a move abroad, that would see him not join a direct Premier League rival, but it seems increasingly like the European links are simply paper talk so supporters may have to prepare for the worst.
