Aggrieved Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to vent their discontent at fresh transfer rumours linking them to Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia.

In an interview with El Universo, Valencia's agent and father admitted that the Emirates Stadium is a possible destination for the attacking full-back when he leaves Old Trafford at the end of his contract in the summer.

A huge section of the Gunners' fan base are concerned about any speculation connecting their club with the veteran and on this occasion, we haven't seen anything different as they responded to a Tweet from a fan account in light of the news.

Their argument clearly centres around Valencia's age, 34, which is usually past the retirement age for professional footballers. But according to Luis Valencia, his son has no desire to hang up his boots any time soon.

Some Gunners have simply stated "no" in response to the suggestion of the Colombian moving to Arsenal, while others have reasoned that "we ain't a retirement home" and that they would rather keep Carl Jenkinson.

One even mused that they would rather have drawn Valencia in the UEFA Europa League semi-finals than sign the player himself.
