Julian Draxler “wants to join Arsenal” and his recent comments surrounding his future at Wolfsburg are the start of his attempts to push through a transfer, according to Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol.
The Germany international, who starred for his nation at EURO 2016, told Bild today that he’s ready to move on, fuelling speculation surrounding his future.
Arsenal have been aligned with the 22-year-old for much of the past few months, with talk of a potential bid in the region of £40m – £50m having done the rounds.
And now Solhekol has taken to Twitter to shed some light on the situation, claiming that Draxler is eyeing a move to the Emirates Stadium:
“Julian Draxler due back training with Wolfsburg today. Told he wants to join Arsenal. Gave interview to Bild to try & force through move.”

Draxler is a versatile attacking midfielder who is able to play on either flank, as a ‘No.10’ or even as a withdrawn striker.
The youngster netted for Germany at EURO 2016 in a comprehensive win against Slovakia.
