Arsenal and England star claims club are happy with transfers

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has announced that the Arsenal squad are happy with their club’s transfer business, reports talkSPORT.

The England winger is currently on international duty ahead of the Three Lions’ clash with San Marino on Saturday in a Euro 2016 qualifier.

He is part of a Gunners side only added to by goalkeeper Petr Cech this summer, as manager Arsene Wenger opted against bringing in a senior outfield player – the only boss in Europe’s top five leagues not to do.

However, ‘The Ox’, who was linked with a bizarre deadline day switch to Turkish giants Galatasaray, has defended his manager’s thrifty approach.

‘We are happy’, stated the former Southampton man, ‘Petr Cech is an amazing signing for us.’

The 22-year old believes the former Stamford Bridge stalwart between the sticks eleven years his senior to be ‘an amazing keeper’.

Certain sections of the Emirates faithful have backlashed against the club’s lack of activity.

Despite numerous links with PSG star Edinson Cavani and Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema, the Gunners now face a lengthy period with only Olivier Giroud as a recognised centre-forward.

England international Danny Welbeck is expected to miss ‘a period of months’ following news he is to undergo knee surgery.
