Leicester City star N’Golo Kante has hinted that he will stay with the club despite interest from Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
Kante has been heavily linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium in recent weeks after a scintillating campaign, in which he helped relegation-favourites Leicester to one of the most unlikely title wins his sport’s history.
“The Champions League next season will be new for me but I hear good things.” Kante is quoted by talkSPORT.
“We don’t know (if they can surprise in Europe), we have just joined at this moment, we will see. We have just done it for this season, next season we will see what will happen but we don’t know.
“When I came here I can’t imagine this, winning the title. Now we did it. It has been a good moment, we have to enjoy it.”
His boss Claudio Ranieri was previously adamant that he will not force any player to stay, claiming that he wants everyone in his camp to be happy with their situation.
And Kante has praised his manager’s methods in maintaining the club’s spirit, citing the team’s never-ending perseverance as one of the reasons they won the title.
“Ranieri is a good man, he did very good work and we are happy for him and everybody,” he said.
“I think it was the spirit of the team, we fight all the time and I think this is why we have done it.”
The 25-year-old has made 39 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal.
