Arsenal are confident in securing major contract extensions for both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in the coming months, according to the Metro.
However, manager Arsene Wenger believes both the German playmaker, and the talismanic Sanchez, will commit their futures in North London.
The former has been in remarkable form this season, finally displaying the sort of form that made him such a big player at Real Madrid.
Initially, he struggled since his £42.5m move in 2013, but has made a stunning impact this term – recording 18 assists.
‘Yes, I am confident. Yes, they have a two-year contract left and there’s been nothing done yet’, said the Frenchman.
‘They look happy, when I talk to them they are happy and they want to extend their contracts so I don’t think it is a problem.’
Ozil is believed to be the highest paid player on the club’s books, commanding a salary that is understood to be around £140,000 a week before bonuses.
That figure is thought to slightly shade Sanchez’s earnings, reportedly around £130,000 a week.
