Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen to lure Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos to the north of London this summer, despite a deal for Granit Xhaka supposedly being close, according to reports from the Mirror.
The Gunners look set for a massive off-season after once again falling out of the race for the Premier League title, with Borussia Monchengladbach’s Switzerland international set to be the first major addition after being scouted THIRTY times by the club.
However, a deal is by no means done, and reports claim that Wenger has already enquired about the availability of Kroos.
The Germany international is known to be one of the best deep-lying playmakers in Europe, and could compliment the likes of the destructive Francis Coquelin.
It’s also understood that Southampton’s Victor Wanyama is wanted, although only one midfielder is likely to be signed.
