Arsenal boss makes Barcelona superstar major target

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has made Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets his major target as he plots for life after Mikel Arteta, according to reports from Metro.

A move for the 27-year-old would be somewhat ambitious, with the classy holding midfielder a first-team regular at one of the most successful clubs on the planet and an influential figure in the dressing room.

However, Arsenal have shown a willingness to spend big in recent transfer windows, paying large fees for Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal have been aligned with a host of defensive midfielders in recent months despite the emergence of Francis Coquelin over the back end of last season.
