We’ve seen plenty of entertainment so far in Brazil this summer, with goals galore and open, attacking games being hallmarks of the World Cup. But here’s something I bet you didn’t expect to see.
Taking a break from his position as a pundit on French television, Arsene Wenger frequented Ipanema beach to part-take in a spot of ‘footvolley’ – a popular past-time with the locals – with fellow Frenchmen, Bixente Lizarazu and Christian Karembeu.

The Arsenal boss displayed impressive touch and control, as you can see him nonchalantly flick the ball back over the net. Wenger has a busy summer ahead of him, with it believed that he has £100 million at his disposal to bolster his squad. Any time taken away from this duty will doubtless rile some of the expectant supporters.
Anyhow, all that time spent around the likes of Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires, and Thierry Henry looks to have paid off. Even at 64, Wenger shows he’s still better than your average sucker.
