It's fair to say Bukayo Saka has enjoyed a real break-through campaign this season.

The Arsenal starlet has become a key part of the first-team squad at the Emirates, making 23 appearances across all competitions. He has also managed three goals and six assists, and has proven his versatility to his manager by filling in at left-back in the absence of both Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac.

However, with the teenager coming into the final 18 months of his contract, The Daily Mail claim the Gunners are trying to tie him down to a new deal in a bid to fend off transfer interest.

The report claims the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are all "monitoring developments", and that Arsenal have begun negotiations with the 18-year-old in the hope he will commit his long-term future to the club.

After hearing about the news on Saka, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the situation.

A couple of fans brought Mesut Ozil's name into the conversation, with one supporter in particular suggesting that they give both Saka and Martinelli the German's wages.

One fan in particular meanwhile urged the club not to do a 'Serge Gnabry' - the German youngster of course who left the club and is now starring for Bayern Munich, scoring 12 goals this season.

Make no mistake about it, it is absolutely imperative Arsenal get Saka to sign a new deal with them.

The 18-year-old has been a revelation for the north London side this season, and it would be a damning statement if 'one of their own' decided that his future is better served elsewhere.
