Arsenal are keen on bringing in Partizan Belgrade teenager Andrija Zivkovic, according to reports in the Metro.
The 19-year old has been dubbed the ‘Serbian Messi’ by sections of the media thanks to his exploits for the Belgrade giants.
With his contract due to expire in June, the teenage sensation is free to negotiate with foreign clubs from January onwards, and would be available for a nominal fee.
However, the Gunners could face stiff competition from teams at home and abroad as the starlet has reportedly been on the radar of numerous top clubs.
Reports suggest La Liga trio Atletico Madrid, Villarreal and Valencia are also in the race, as well as North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
It is thought that Atletico have made the first move for the player, by contacting his representatives about a potential move.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is understood to be keeping a keen eye over proceedings.
