Arsenal could be set for January reunion with international star

Arsenal could get Wojciech Szczesny back from Roma in January, according to reports from The Mirror.

The Poland international joined the Serie A against on loan over the summer, with the addition of Petr Cech at the Emirates Stadium the major factor behind the switch.

Szczesny has since played regularly at the Stadio Olimpico, but Roma are thought to be chasing Paris Saint-Germain’s Salvatore Sirigu and should they land the Azzurri man they could axe the Gunner-owned star.

Such a state of affairs would leave Arsene Wenger with a decision to make, with Cech firmly embedded as the No.1 in north London since his move across the city from Chelsea.

However, a potential Szczesny comeback may be a boost for Arsenal, with current back-up man David Ospina being linked with a move away from the club – Besiktas are understood to be keen.
