Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Mesut Ozil is a doubt for Wednesday's Premier League game against Huddersfield Town at the Emirates, reports the Metro.

What's the problem?

The German World Cup winner played no part in Sunday's late 1-0 win over Burnley due to illness.

The Gunners were staring at a goalless draw until injury time when Aaron Ramsey was shoved in the box and awarded a penalty.

Alexis Sanchez netted from the spot to move the North London outfit to within four points of second-placed Manchester United.

According to the Metro, when discussing Ozil's absence, Wenger told reporters:

"I haven’t seven seen him. The doctor came to see me and said he had to travel back home, he was in the hotel with us. Certainly he will be short for Wednesday. We will see what it is exactly."

Will Arsenal miss him?

Ozil has been criticised in the past for his inconsistency, particularly when it comes to the so-called 'bigger' matches.

In the recent North London derby, though, the midfielder was a key figure in Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

The 29-year-old was instrumental in how Arsenal got the result that they needed.

Even though the team managed to win without Ozil on Sunday, Wenger's men struggled to find a breakthrough.

Considering how well Huddersfield played against Manchester City in a 2-1 defeat at the weekend, Ozil could be a big miss for Arsenal.
