Arsenal could sell Mohamed Elneny in January to fund a move for Pablo Fornals, fans react

According to The Sun, Arsenal could sell Mohamed Elneny to help finance a move for Villarreal’s Pablo Fornals in January as Unai Emery seeks a replacement for Aaron Ramsey.

The Spaniard has a surprisingly low £17.8m release clause and the Gunners are keen to meet that figure to bring the 22-year-old to England in the new year.

Meanwhile, Egyptian Elneny has become a spare part at the Emirates as summer signings Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira continue to impress in the middle of the park. Emery is reportedly willing to listen to offers around the £15m mark for the enforcer so as to, mostly at least, cover the Fornals fee.

The versatile midfielder has been a bright spark in an otherwise dim Yellow Submarine side – completing 1.5 dribbles, 1.6 key passes and 1.8 tackles per game, as well as chalking up three goals and two assists in all competitions (WhoScored).

Arsenal fans on Twitter certainly feel that these deals would represent great business from Sven Mislintat and co…
